At ecoips we believe every home, should be accessible for all ages and abilities, in truth the reality is not the case.
Most homes built in the last 20 years have been designed to be 'visitable' but not 'accessible', the majority of older homes will need to be more accessible to address increased housing market demands.
Every one us at some stage in our lives particularly as we grow older will find ourselves wishing we could navigate our home more easily.
Truly "universally accessible" homes (usable by everyone regardless of age or ability) are estimated to represent less than 5% of all private homes.
In the the next decade or so, one in five people in Ireland will be over 65 and the number of people aged 75-85 is projected to more than double in the coming years.
Most people do not want to move to a different area to find a bungalow or move into assisted living, as it can mean losing their social circles, their local GP, and local amenities.

Meetings with you and your OT or other healthcare Consultant - Refining the project brief - To ensure it will be safe for you and fit for purpose.
Phase 2 - Planning + Design
We develop simple to understand plans and layouts and help you to decide on material choices and finishes - So there are no surprises - You see exactly how it will look.
Phase 3 - Management
Vetting and supervising specialist trades like electricians, plumbers, painters, carpenters etc.- So you don't have to chase builders or manage schedules.
Phase 4 - Administration
Managing Grant applications and Part M compliance - We help you to secure any available funding that you may be eligible for and to meet regulations.

Housing Adaptation Grants + Project supports
We are experts in the Housing Adaptation Grant process. We can manage your application for up to €75,000 in funding (maximum grant as of 2024/2025 revisions) , ensuring the project is as affordable as it is effective.
